Playson has agreed to supply games to World Sports Betting in South Africa through Light & Wonder’s aggregation platform, adding another operator to its distribution network in the country.
This partnership promises a gradual introduction of selected Hold and Win titles. The initial selection comprises Coin Strike: Hold and Win, Thunder Coins: Hold and Win and Thunder Coins XXL: Hold and Win.
Further Playson releases are expected as the agreement develops.
Both Companies Link the Agreement to Portfolio Expansion
Blanka Homor, Playson’s sales director, placed the agreement within the supplier’s regional expansion strategy, describing it as part of its efforts “to expand our presence across the region”.
World Sports Betting chief operating officer Ryno du Plessis said the addition would give customers access to “a proven selection of top-performing titles”.
These statements set out the companies’ expectations for the partnership. Neither company disclosed commercial terms, projected revenue or results from the planned World Sports Betting rollout.
Light & Wonder Also Connects Playson to Hollywoodbets
The agreement follows Playson’s 20 July announcement of a South African partnership with Hollywoodbets, which also uses Light & Wonder’s aggregation platform.
Its earlier selection included the three Hold and Win titles named for World Sports Betting, plus Diamonds Power: Hold and Win, Energy Coins: Hold and Win and 3 Carts of Gold: Hold and Win.
The two announcements show Playson extending distribution of an overlapping group of games through the same aggregation partner.
The South African Deal Follows Nigerian Distribution Activity
Playson also announced a KingMakers agreement in June to supply BetKing in Nigeria through EveryMatrix.
Its Nigerian selection included Coin Strike: Hold and Win, Energy Coins: Hold and Win and Sevens & Fruits: 20 lines. Playson described that portfolio as rebuilt and optimised for African audiences, although the announcement did not publish comparative performance data.
Together, the agreements identify the operators, markets and aggregation routes behind Playson’s African expansion. The World Sports Betting announcement adds a South African distribution relationship to its African market presence.
iGW Market Relevance: Follow the Rollout Beyond the Agreement
Our AMR Products and Partnerships question is how the announced selection performs within World Sports Betting’s own offering.
The next disclosures should be which titles become available, how customers encounter them and what results follow.
